5.1.

Disconnect the front panel power cable that comes from the SAS/SATA

backplane board.

5.2.

Disconnect the ganged 80mm CPU fan power cable.

5.3.

Disconnect the LED/switch board power and signal cable.

5.4.

Disconnect the 60mm PCI fan power cable.

5.5.

Disconnect the bridge board. For instructions, see Section5.3, “Replacing

the Bridge Board”.

Unscrew the fastener at the rear of the FP board and slide the board away

from the front panel to lift it up and out of the chassis. (

Save the screw for reuse with the new replacement FP board.

7. Remove the USB flash memory from the FP board (if present) so it can be used on the

replacement board. For more information, see Section 4.12 “Installing a Z-U130

Solid State Drive”.

Installing the New Front Panel Board

1. Install the USB flash memory if you are using this option. For instructions, see

Section 4.12,”Installing a Z-U130 Solid State Drive”

2. Slide the new FP board toward the front of the chassis so the serial port connector

fits through the slot on the front panel of the chassis and the two keyhole slots

fit over the standoffs on the bottom of the chassis. (Figure XX, “A”)

3. Tighten the screw at the rear of the board to secure it to the chassis base. (“B”)
