Reconnect all of the cables on the FP board. For the locations of each header

on the board, see

4. Figure 50.

4.1.

Reconnect the front panel power cable that comes from the SAS/SATA

backplane board.

4.2.

Re connect the 80mm CPU fan ganged power cable.

4.3.

Reconnect the LED/switch board power and signal cable.

4.4.

Reconnect the 60mm PCI fan power cable.

4.5.

Reconnect the bridge board. For instructions see “Re-Installing the

Bridge Board” in Section 5.3.

5. Refasten the protective cover over the FP board.
6. If this is the last task you are performing inside the chassis, replace the air

duct, the riser card assembly, and the top chassis covers. For instructions, see

Section 3.2, “General Installation Procedures”.

5.5 Replacing the LED/Switch Board

The LED/switch board is mounted against the front panel of the NSN2U server chassis

because it supports the LEDs and switches that are on the control panel on the front

of the chassis. Before you can replace the LED/switch board, you must remove the front

chassis cover and the front bezel. You may also have to remove the front panel board,

or at least loosen it and slide it back, in order to access the LED/switch board

retaining screw.

Removing the Old LED/Switch Board

To remove the LED/Switch board:
1. Remove the front chassis cover. For instructions, see “Removing the Front Cover” in

Section 3.2.

2. Remove the front bezel. For instructions, see “Removing the Front Bezel” in Section

3.2.

Disconnect the LED/switch board power and signal cable from the FP board. See

3. Figure 50 for the location of this connector.
4. From behind the front panel, unfasten the screw on the top right side of the

LED/switch board.
