3. Locate the “Restore Defaults” jumper (J1E7) as shown in Figure 23.
4. Move jumper (J1E7) from the normal position (pins 1-2) to the restore position (2-

3) and wait five seconds.

5. Move the jumper (J1E7) back to the normal position (pins 1-2).
6. Close the server chassis. See” Re-installing the Chassis Covers” in Section 3.2 for

instructions.

7. Power up the system.

6.4 Clearing the Password

If the user or administrator password(s) is lost or forgotten, moving the password

clear jumper (J1E8) into the “clear” position clears both passwords. The password

clear jumper must be restored to its original position before a new password(s) can be

set. The password clear jumper is shown in Figure 23.
1. Power down the system and disconnect the power cord(s).
2. Open the server chassis. See ”Removing the Chassis Covers”, in Section 3.2 for

instructions.
