This unit’s HDMl interface is based on the following

standards:

• HDMl Version 1,2a (High-Definition Multimedia

interface Specification Version 1.2a) licensed by
HDMl Licensing, LLC.

• HDCP Revision 1.1 (High-bandwidth Digital

Content Protection System Revision 1.1) licensed
by Digital Content Protection, LLC.

Notes ;

■ When CPPM copy-protected DVD audio is played back, video

and audio signals may not be otitptit depending on the type of
the DVD player.

■ This unit is not compatible with HDCP-incompatible HDMl or

DVl components.

• You can check the potential problem about the HDMl

connection (.see page 41).

HDMl jack and cable plug

• We recommend that you use an HDM! cable shorter than 5

nteters (16 feet) with the HDMl logo primed on it.

• Use a conversion cable (HDMl jack ■O- DVl-D jack) to connect

this un.il to other DVI components.

Notes

■ Do not diseonneet or connect the cable or turn off the power of

the HDMl ctmiponents eonnecled to the HDMl OUT jack of
this unitwhile data is being transferred. Doing so may disrupt
playback or cause noise.

• Audio signals input at input jacks other than the HDMl IN I or

HDMl IN 2 jack of this unit cannot he digitally output at the
HDMl OUT jack.

■ If you turn off the posver of the video monitor connected to the

HDMl OUT jack via a DVI connection, this unit may fail to

establish the connection to the eomponent.

■ The analog video signals input at the composite video, S-video

and eomponeiit video jacks can be digitally up-converted to be
output at the HDMl OUl’jack. Set “VIDEO CONV.” to “ON"

in “MANUAL SE'l’UP" (see page 81) to activate this feature.
