TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

If any trouble occurs with your EX-500(W) Series, check the
following items. If the sensor does not work properly, contact your
distributor or nearest KEYENCE office.

Remedy

Analog output does
not change.

Is the sensor head
cable tightly con-
nected?

Securely connect the
cable into the connector.

Analog output is not
stable.
Fluctuation in
resolution and poor
accuracy.

Is noise interference
causing problems?

Keep the sensor wiring
away from high-voltage
lines and power lines.

Is the production line
conveyor vibrating?

Reduce vibration of the
production line conveyor.

Is the response time
selector switch set to
high speed?

If high speed response is
not required, set the
response time selector
switch to low speed.

Is the output voltage
proportional to the
measuring distance?

Adjust the output voltage.
(See p.7 through 9.)

Key switches are
disabled.

Is the lock switch set
to LOCK?

Set the lock switch to
FREE during key
operations.
