Burners do not light

A fuse in your home may be

blown or the circuit breaker

tripped.

Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.

Burner parts not replaced
correctly.

Gas/Control Lockout
or Control Lockout
feature is activated

• If

LOC ON

appears in the display, the range control is

locked. Turn this feature off to use the range. See the
Gas/Control Lockout or Control Lockout section.

Food does not broil
properly in the upper oven

Oven controls improperly set.

• Make sure you touch the

Broil Hi/Lo

pad.

Oven door not closed.

Improper shelf position
being used.

Food being cooked
in a hot pan.

For best results, use a pan designed for broiling.

Make sure it is cool.

Cookware not suited
for broiling.

Oven bottom not securely
seated in position.

Upper oven temperature

too hot or too cold

Oven thermostat
needs adjustment.

inserted in the electrical outlet.

• Make sure electrical plug is plugged into a live, properly

grounded outlet.

high to set a self-clean operation.

• Allow the range to cool to room temperature and

reset the controls.

On models with a door latch,

the oven door is not in the

locked position.

• Make sure you move the door latch handle all the way

to the right.

“Crackling" or
"popping" sound

This is the sound of the

metal heating and cooling
during both the cooking and
cleaning functions.

• This is normal.
