What you need for infrared data transmission

You can use the infrared interface with Windows 95, Windows 98, or
Windows 2000. However, in order to use the infrared interface, your
computer should meet the following requirements.

If you are using Windows 95, you need IrDA 1.0 with a maximum baud

rate of 115.2 kbps, and the Microsoft infrared port driver version 2.0.

Confirming that the infra-red transmission driver
has been installed

Follow this procedure to confirm that the infra-red transmission driver
has been installed.

1.

Click the Start button, point to Settings, and click Control Panel to
open the Control Panel window.

2.

Look at the Control Panel window and confirm that the Infrared
Monitor icon is displayed.

If the Infrared Monitor icon is displayed, the required infra-red
transmission driver has already been installed.

If the Infrared Monitor icon is not displayed, refer to your Windows
manual for instructions on installing the infrared port.

If you are using Windows 95 and the Infrared Monitor icon is not
