Replacing an ink cartridge

Replace an ink cartridge when it runs out of ink. The frequency of
changing the ink cartridges will vary according to how the printer is
used. If you frequently print images of heavy density, you will need to
change the ink cartridges more often. For details about cartridge
capacity, refer to the Printer Specifications at the end of this user’s
manual. (☞160)

• To ensure the best performance of the ink cartridges, you should

install ink cartridges within one year of the purchase date and use

them within six months after they are installed in the BJ Cartridge.

• When the low-ink warning is switched on, follow the procedure to

replace the ink tank and reset the low-ink warning detection counter.
