Troubleshooting
■ How to use this Section
This troubleshooting section describes problems and solutions for many
common problems you may experience. Work through this section as
described below.
An error message is shown on the screen
If there is an error message shown on the screen regarding to the printer,
refer to “Error messages”. (☞91)
Identify the problem
Identify the problem by referring to “Quick reference list of possible
problems” for a detailed description of the problem and suggestions for
solving the problem. (☞90)
If the problem cannot be identified
The problems that you encounter may not be solely due to the printer.
Problems may occur with the basic software, the application software or
the computer (lack of memory, hard disk problems, etc.) that you are
using. Refer to your software application or computer hardware
manuals for troubleshooting instructions.
The problem still cannot be resolved
For faster assistance, there are a few items that we recommend you
confirm Before you call for service. (☞145)
