3. Names and Functions of Parts
This section describes the name and function of each part. Make sure to read
this section and familiarize yourself with the parts of the scanner before using
the scanner.

Document Feed Tray
Open this tray to place your documents
into the feeder. (See p. 21.)
Document Guide Adapter
Adjust this adapter
to the width of the
document. (See p. 22.)
Feeder Cover
Open this to
remove jammed
paper or clean
the inside of the
scanner.

Document Eject
Stopper
Use this to prevent
scanned documents
from falling off the
scanner. (See p. 22.)
Document Eject
Opening
Scanned documents
are output to the
Document Eject
Opening. (See p. 22.)
Operation Panel
Includes the keys and
LCD display required
for operating the
scanner. (See p. 14.)
Power Indicator
Lights green when
the scanner is
turned ON.
Power Switch
Turns the scanner power ON or OFF.
Feeder
Documents placed
in the feeder are
automatically fed
sheet by sheet to
the scanning glass
for scanning.
Unlock
Lock
Lock Switch
When moving the scanner,
press this switch to
(Lock) position.
