Setting your presence status

Inform your buddies of your presence status on the network and see

when your buddies are online and available.

Your status automatically updates when you connect or disconnect from
the network. You can manually configure your status by selecting an entry

from a list. For example, if you are busy and want to inform your buddies

that you are not going to be taking calls, you can change your status to

Unavailable.

Many difference statuses are available. For more information, see

Table 17 "Status and availability indicators" on page 81. Each status

includes a colored indicator informing your buddies of your availability:

Green: You are available and can respond.

Yellow: You are available but may not be able to respond.

Red: You are not available and cannot respond.

The Do Not Disturb status is a special status, because it also specifies a

call handling state. This call handling state ignores all incoming call

requests to the mobile device, but will ring on other devices or clients
logged in using the user’s credentials. If the call is not answered, the call

will route to voice mail.
