Once the site for your glove box is properly prepared, you are ready to
unpack, inspect, install, and validate performance of your system. Read this
chapter to learn how to:
• Unpack and move the glove box.
• Set up the glove box with the proper supporting structure and work
surface.
• Add the oil and if required connect an exhaust system to the pressure
relief bubbler.
• Install the gloves.
• Connect the electrical supply.
• Connect the plumbing lines for gas, vacuum, and gas purifiers or
drying trains.
• Validate performance of the glove box.
Each Protector Glove Box model weighs as follows:
• Fiberglass, 350 lbs/157 kg.
• Stainless, 500 lbs/225 kg.
• Stainless Doublewide, 1000 lbs/450 kg.
The shipping container allows for lifting with a mechanical
lift truck or floor jack. If you must lift the glove box
manually, follow safe-lifting guidelines. Do not lift by the
upper sheet metal façade and front panel as damage can
occur to the glove box liner.
