If the following measurement shows a lack of stability again,

repeat the measurement after another period of rest. In case of

further unstable measurements, identify these measurements

as they were taken when the circulatory system had not be suf-

ficiently rested.

In this case, inner unrest of the nervous system could be the

cause, which cannot be cured by brief periods of rest. Devel-

oping cardiac arrhythmia can also prevent stable blood pres-

sure measurements.
A lack of resting blood pressure can have various causes, such

as physical or mental strain or distraction and speaking or expe-

riencing heart rhythmic disturbance during the measurement.
In an overwhelming number of cases, the HSD diagnosis will

give a very good guide as to whether the circulatory system is

rested when taking the measurement. Certain patients suffering

from cardiac arrhythmia or chronic mental conditions can remain

haemodynamically unstable in the long-term, something which

persists even after repeated periods of rest. The precision of the

results of the resting blood pressure is reduced in these users.

Like any medical measurement method, the precision of the HSD

diagnosis is limited and can lead to incorrect results in some

cases. The blood pressure measurements taken when the circu-

latory system was at rest represent particularly reliable results.

6. Calling up stored values

You can call up values from the 2 user memories and display the

averages.

• Press the M1 or M2 memory buttons. Firstly, the average of

all values stored in this user memory will be displayed. This

is denoted by the letter in the display.

• If you press the memory buttons again, further individual

measurements appear with WHO, cardiac arrythmia and

HSD. These individual values are numbered from 1 to 60. The

time and date are alternately displayed after 2.5 seconds.

• If there are 60 individual values in the memory at the same

time, the oldest value is deleted in order to make room for

the new value.

• Use the start/stop button to turn off the device, or it will

turn off automatically after approx. 30 seconds.

Tip: You can also use the 2 user memories to separately store

measurements – e.g. mornings and evenings.
Deleting saved values
You can delete saved values individually or else you can delete

all of them.

• To delete individual values, first select the stored value

you wish to delete and keep memory button M1 or M2

depressed. The display starts blinking. Keep holding the but-

ton depressed until the display has completely cleared.

• To delete an entire user memory, you have to select the

appropriate user memory. The average is displayed and indi-

cated with . Hold the memory button M1 or M2 depressed

until the display starts blinking and keep the button

depressed until the display completely clears.

7. Cleaning and storing the instrument

• Clean your device and cuff carefully only with a slightly mois-

tened cloth.

• The frequency of cleaning depends on the contamination

level of the device. Clean the blood pressure device and cuff

as soon as any dirt appears on the device.
