Adjusting the Parking Brake
Note:
Parking brake requires adjustment if the DR Powerwolf rolls on slopes with the
parking brake set, or if parking brake will not set.
WARNING!
Before performing any maintenance procedure, set the
parking brake, stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire.
Tool Needed:
§ Two 1/2" wrenches or sockets
1. With the machine on a level surface, set
the parking brake and put the machine
in free wheel mode.
2. Test the brake by trying to roll the
machine. It should not move in either
direction with the parking brake set.
3. To adjust brake if needed, remove
linkage from emergency brake handle
(Figure 16) using two 1/2" wrenches.
4. Turn linkage tie rod end counter-
clockwise to tighten the brake or
clockwise to loosen it.
5. Re-attach linkage to parking brake
handle
6. Test the brake, as described in Step 3.
Repeat the adjustment if necessary.

Note:
Turn the linkage joint only 1/2 turn at a time, and then test the brake to see if the
adjustment worked. If needed, adjust the joint another 1/4 turn and test again.
