Brake Cable Adjustment

Note:

The brake cable is factory set. If you think the brake cable needs to be adjusted, you

may actually need to replace the brake pads. See below.

Changing the Brake Pads

WARNING!

Before performing any maintenance procedure, set the

parking brake, stop the engine, and disconnect the spark plug wire.

Note:

If your DR Powerwolf rolls on slopes when the brake is set, and you have tried

adjusting the brake, the brake pads may need to be replaced.

Tools & Supplies Needed:
§ 1/2" wrench or socket
§ Mat or container for loose parts

Note:

You may want to remove the wheel to provide easier access to the brake area. (See

page 22)

1. Find a level area to work.

The parking brake should
NOT be engaged. Block the
wheels so the machine
cannot move.

2. Locate the brake caliper

at the right front of the
machine (Figure 17).

3. Use 1/2" wrench to

remove the two caliper
bolts holding the brake
caliper.

4. Remove the spring.
5. Carefully remove the

caliper.
