Adjusting the Foot Pedal Control
The foot pedal control governs direction of travel and speed. Top speed in each direction is
adjustable.
WARNING! Before performing any maintenance procedure, stop the
engine, set the parking brake, and disconnect the spark plug wire.
Tools Needed:
§ Two 9/16" box or open-end wrenches
1. Loosen and remove far end of foot
pedal control linkage at front right
corner of the machine.
2. Use one wrench to hold linkage
and the other to turn tie rod end
for adjustment: clockwise (shorter)
to increase forward top speed,
counterclockwise (longer) to reduce
forward top speed.
Note: These adjustments also
determine reverse top speed. Reverse
top speed decreases as forward top
speed increases and vice versa.
