4. Remove the front console
panel and remove the knob
from the throttle lever.
5. Remove the two Phillips
head screws and nuts that
secure the throttle control
to the front console panel
(Figure 21).
6. Attach new throttle control
to the front console panel.
7. Route the throttle cable the
same as the old cable, being
careful not to bend or kink
the cable.
8. Place the Z bend end of
the throttle cable into the
small hole on the throttle
plate on the engine.
9. Make sure that the throttle
lever is all the way back to
the stop position on the
control console. Pull the
cable sheath until the
throttle plate can no longer
move.
10. Use wrench or socket to
tighten the cable clamp
screw (Bowden clamp).
Important!
If the cable is
clamped with too much
tension between the clamp
and the throttle plate, the
engine will not return to
idle properly.
11. Start the engine and check
the operation of the
machine.
