10 00 Disc Capacity Model – 4, 6 or 8 Writers
This system has five spindles (see Figure 1-6) that hold approximately 250 discs each (actual quantity
varies depending on the media thickness) for a total of 1000-Disc duplication capacity. Prior to starting a job,
make sure Spindle 1 is empty. Stack the blank discs you wish to copy on Spindle 2, 3, 4 and 5 (see Figure
1-2 on page 5 for proper media stacking). The robotic arm picks blank discs from Spindle 2 first, and places
the successful copied discs onto Spindle 1. Once Spindle 2 is empty, it picks blank discs from Spindle 3,
and places the successfully copied discs onto Spindle 2. It then picks from Spindle 4 and places onto
Spindle 3, and then picks from Spindle 5 and places onto Spindle 4. Reject discs are placed on to the deck
below the drive trays. (Throughout this manual, this area is also referred as “Reject Area”).
