Setting Handles
You use Edit Clips handles when you want additional footage at the beginning
and end of a clip for additional editing. The default duration is 5 seconds.You
use Send to File handles when sending a clip or feed to another workstation or
server. The default duration is 2 seconds.
If you want to change the handle duration, type the new number in the field.
Setting Up Your Workgroup
In order for your FeedClip workstation to be able to send media to other
workstations or media servers, you need to set up a workgroup.
To set up a workgroup:
1. Make sure that your Share Name is
VibrintAVFiles
.
2. Click
Update Workgroup List
.
The system lists the available machines for file export.
3. Click
OK
.
In addition to setting up a workgroup, you also need to share your media folder
in order to receive files from other FeedClip workstations. See “Setting Up
Media Files for Sharing” on page 81 for instructions.
Setting Up Send Locations
Once you create a series of clips, you can send them to a NewsEdit workstation
or to a network video server. To send completed sequences or individual clips,
you first need to configure FeedClip with each of your send locations.
A send location can be a NewsEdit workstation, a Media Server, or a Bin you
specify. If you want to store clips on your computer, you can also add a send
location for your PC.
To set up a send location:
1. Click
Add
.
The Add Named Destination to Send List window appears.
2. Enter the name of the send location.
