Setting Output Options
Setting Up a Workgroup
In order for each NewsQ workstation to be able to pull media from other Digital
News Production workstations, you need to set up a workgroup.
To set up a workgroup:
1. Make sure that your Share Name is VibrintAVFiles .
2. Click Update Workgroup List .
The system lists the available machines for file import or export. This may
take several minutes while the network is searched.
3. Click OK .
In addition to setting up a workgroup, you also need to share your media folder
in order to receive files from other workstations. See “Setting Up Media Files
for Sharing” on page 81 for instructions.

Video Connections Composite
S-Video
Component
Serial D1 Select the Video Connection option that corresponds to the
video source’s connection to NewsQ.
If you are using the Pro D&A Break Out Box, the
Component Y output defaults to a second composite
output unless you select
Component video.
Audio Connections Balanced Analog
Unbalanced Analog
AES/EBU
SPDIF
TDIFF
SDI Embedded Select the Audio Connection option that corresponds to
the audio source’s connection to NewsQ.
Channels 1
2 Select the channel for which you are currently setting
output options.
