Additionally required material (not included in the scope of delivery):
☐ Non-woven abrasive, red (material number: 87-50005999)
☐ Lint-free cleaning cloth
☐ Degreaser
Procedure:
1. Clean the contact surface using a clean, lint-free cloth and degreaser.
2. Sand the cleaned contact surface with red non-woven abrasive until the contact surface shines lightly. Only sand in
one direction.
3. Ensure that the entire contact surface has been correctly sanded.
4. Clean the sanded contact surface thoroughly again using a clean, lint-free cloth and degreaser.
5. Make sure that the entire contact surface has been cleaned completely.
6. Do not touch the contact surfaces again after cleaning.
7.5.3 Cleaning Tinned Contact Surfaces
Requirements:
☐ Before processing the contact surfaces, make sure that no voltage is present in the components.
☐ Additionally required material must be available.

Procedure:
1. Clean the contact surface using a clean, lint-free cloth and degreaser.
2. Make sure that the entire contact surface has been cleaned completely.
3. Do not touch the contact surfaces again after cleaning.
7.5.4 Cleaning Aluminum Contact Surfaces
Requirements:
☐ Before processing the contact surfaces, make sure that no voltage is present in the components.
☐ Additionally required material must be available.

☐ Lint-free cleaning cloth
☐ Degreaser
Procedure:
1. Clean the contact surface using a clean, lint-free cloth and degreaser.
2. Sand the cleaned contact surface with gray non-woven abrasive until it shines lightly. Only sand in one direction.
3. Ensure that the entire contact surface has been correctly sanded.
4. Clean the sanded contact surface thoroughly again using a clean, lint-free cloth and degreaser.
5. Make sure that the entire contact surface has been cleaned completely.
6. Do not touch the contact surfaces again after cleaning.
