11 Maintaining the Sunny String-Monitor SSM24-11
The String Monitors are usually installed near the modules in the open air. The larger the plant, the
more String Monitors are required. This must be taken into account for maintenance work. In the
following, some steps are listed which serve as maintenance instruction.
1. First, check the installation site for accessibility, inflammable materials and safe positioning
and/or mounting and then make sure that the Sunny String-Monitor is in a horizontal position
and that a sufficient sun shading system is available, for example by an installation directly
behind the PV generator.
2. Check the enclosure for damage and make sure that the switch cabinet doors as well as the
door mechanism are securely positioned and properly sealed.

components.
• Only work on the device when it is switched off and voltage-free.
CAUTION!
Danger of burn injuries due to hot components.
• Leave the device to cool before starting to work on it.
