3 Wiring
3.1 Precautions on Wiring
Protection for Power Supply Line
• Use a molded-case circuit breaker and fuse to protect the power supply line from high voltage. The SJDE SER-
VOPACK connects directly to a commercial power supply without a transformer, so always use a circuit breaker
and fuse to protect the SERVOPACK from accidental high voltage.
Caution for Grounding
Consider the following conditions when grounding the SERVOPACK.
• For a ground wire, use as thick a cable as possible (2.0 mm
2
or thicker).
• A ground resistance of 100 (
Ω) or less is recommended.
• Ground to one point only.
Caution for Cable
• For wiring, use the specified cables. Use cables that are as short as possible.
• Do not bend or apply tension to cables. The conductor of a signal cable is very thin (0.08 to 0.12 mm
2
), so handle
the cables carefully.
• Be sure to correctly ground the SERVOPACK and the servomotor.
• Wiring must be performed by an authorized person qualified in electrical work.
