STATUS WINDOW
The status window displays the current status of the DVD player and
appears with the menu bar. When disc playback is stopped, for example,
the icon will display temporarily. The default setting is to ON. Select OFF
in the user preference menu to turn off the status window. Refer to
Screen icons for further information.
HELP TEXT
This feature will describe the icons selected. If you do not require the
help text, select OFF in the user preference menu.
PLAYBACK CONTROL (PBC)
This feature can be set to ON or OFF.
• Load a video CD with PBC and press
.
• Go through the menu until your chosen passage starts to playback. If
a PBC menu consists of a list of titles, you can select a title directly.
• Enter your choice using the cursor keys.
• Press RETURN to go back to the previous menu.
• You may also select PBC OFF under the Personal Preferences.
Playing a DVD
To play a DVD:
• Insert a DVD or press PLAY if a disc is already present and stopped in
the system. (The six disc changer radio must be on — in AM, FM, CD,
DVD/CD or AUX mode).
• If a playback menu appears on the screen, use the cursor controls on
the front panel or the remote to choose different selections. The
movie may be started by pressing the PLAY command on the DVD
player or remote control.
Pausing a DVD
Press STILL to freeze a scene. Press PLAY to resume normal play mode.
