Playing a DVD video or a video CD

Video CDs and DVDs contain things
such as movies, video clips, dramas,
etc. They may have one or more
tracks and the tracks may have one
or more indexes. For customer convenience, your system lets you move
between tracks and indexes.

You can recognize video CDs and
DVDs by their logo. (The DVD logo
is a trademark of DVD Format/Logo
Licensing Corporation.)

To play a video CD or DVD in the player:
• Insert the CD/DVD into the DVD player if one is not already present.

Playback will start automatically. (The six disc changer radio must be
on — in AM, FM, CD, DVD/CD or AUX mode).

• If a disc is already present and stopped in the system, press PLAY

(

). (The six disc changer radio must be on — in AM, FM, CD,

DVD/CD or AUX mode).

• Playback may stop at the end of the title and then may return to the

DVD menu. To go on to the next title, press PLAY (

).

• To stop playback, press

. The default screen will appear and give

information about your current status.

• To resume playback, press PLAY (

). When the resume icon

appears, press PLAY (

) again.

The resume feature applies not only to the disc in the player, but also to
the last four discs you have played. Simply reload the disc and press
PLAY and the system will begin where you last stopped.

Note: DVDs may have a region code. Your player will not play discs that
have a region code different from the region code of your player.
