TROUBLESHOOTING
If it appears that the FES is not working properly, first consult this
checklist. It may be something that has been overlooked. Do not attempt
to repair the system on your own as it will invalidate the warranty.
Look for the specific symptom(s) below. Only perform the action listed
to remedy the specific symptom(s). Should you have any further

Symptoms Possible Cause/Remedy
No power
• Ensure that the key and audio
system are on.
• Check the vehicle fuse.
No picture
• Press the radio AUX button for
DVD/CD mode when a disc is
present (screen will be blank in
Auxiliary mode with no video
device connected).
Distorted picture
• Check the disc for fingerprints
and clean the disc with a soft
cloth, wiping from the center to
the edge in a straight line.
Disc will not insert
• Press STOP/EJECT to see if a
disc is already inserted

• Check to see if the disc is
warped.

• Check the vehicle fuse.
Disc will not eject
• Press STOP/EJECT button once
to stop the disc. Wait for the STOP
icon ( ), then Press
STOP/EJECT again.
• Turn the key off and open the
drivers door, wait three minutes,
then press STOP/EJECT button
once.
• Check the vehicle fuse.
