Protocol Settings
Protocol Settings allows you to update print server parameters to work with different printer
networks.
AppleTalk ®
Click Protocol Settings to access the AppleTalk window. The AppleTalk window is
displayed:
Item Description
AppleTalk zone Type the name of the AppleTalk zone to which you wish to connect.
An asterisk “*” allows you to connect to any AppleTalk zone.
Port 1
(Parallel Port)
Printer Object
Type
Type a name to describe the printer driver used for the port. The
Wireless Print Server is designed to work with LaserWriter (or 100%
compatible) printers.
Communication
Protocol Sets ASCII or Binary communication protocol for the port.
Port 2 (USB Port)
Printer Object
Type Type a descriptive name to describe the printer driver used for the
port. The Wireless Print Server is designed to work with LaserWriter
(or 100% compatible) printers.
Communication
Protocol Sets ASCII or Binary communication protocol for the port.
Get Defaults Click to return the AppleTalk options to their default settings.
