INITIAL SETTINGS (cont.)
Setting satellite receiver’s brand and
programme positions
After installation, set the satellite receiver’s brand
correctly; otherwise, the satellite controller cannot work
correctly.

Turn on the satellite receiver.

Show the Main Setup screen on the unit.
Press SET UP .
• The HDD SET UP screen appears.
NOTE
If the built-in clock has not been set, the INTIAL SET UP screen
appears. If this happens, set the clock first (see page 69).

Select the Initial Set screen.
1 Press 3 or 2 to move to “INITIAL SET UP,” then
press ∞ .
2 Press 3 or 2 to move to “INITIAL SET”, then press
ENTER .

Select the Sat Control Set screen.

Enter the satellite receiver’s brand.
NOTE
If the unit is playing or recording, you cannot set the brand
code.

Select a programme position number for the
satellite receiver for a test.

Press 5 or ∞ to move to
“SAT CONTROL SET,” then
press
ENTER or 3 .
Press the appropriate number
buttons to enter the brand
code from the list on page
19, then press
ENTER .
• If the brand code you
entered is invalid, the code
field will be reset. Enter the
correct brand code again.
Press the appropriate number
buttons to enter one of the
programme positions (1 to
999) for the satellite receiver,
then press
ENTER .
• The unit makes a trial to
change to the selected
programme position
number on the satellite
receiver.
