Using Key Operator Settings

This chapter explains about functions
the key operator handles.

Memory Lock

This is a security function to prevent
unauthorized individuals from read-
ing printed fax messages. When
Memory Lock is switched on, all re-
ceived messages are stored in memo-
ry and are not automatically printed.
To print the messages, you have to
enter the Memory Lock ID.

Note

❒ Before you can use this function,

you must register the Memory
Lock ID. See p.66 “ID Code”

Limitation

❒ Memory Lock cannot be selected

until you have registered the
Memory Lock ID.

❒ To use this function you must

switch Memory Lock on after you
register the Memory Lock ID.

❒ You can select to lock only messag-

es from Specified Users, or you can
select to lock messages from send-
ers other than from Specified Us-
ers. See p.58 “User Parameters”
(switch 09, bits 1 and 0).
