Automatic Label Peel-Off Dispenser
The printer can be ordered with an optional automatic label peel-off dispenser kit,
or the option can be purchased and installed at a later date. The dispenser
mechanism attaches to the printer using the same method as with the tear-off
assembly and allows the printer to be configured for “one up” printing. In this
mode, the printer will not print the next label in the internal buffer until the last
label printed has been removed from the printer.
Ribbon Saver
The Ribbon Saver (a factory-installed option only) raises the printhead off the
output platen and stops the ribbon when the printer is feeding white space.
Since the ribbon does not move while the printhead is raised, ribbon that would
have been wasted while the printer moved media through a non-printing area is
now saved.
Interface Options
Coax/Twinax Host Interface
The coax/twinax host interface option functions as a protocol converter to allow
the direct connection of the printer to an IBM host computer that uses either a
coax or a twinax data interface. This option should be installed only by an
authorized service representative.
Software Options
The optional Label Matrix for Printronix label generation software package is
available for creating, storing and printing label formats with IBM PCs or
compatibles. This optional bar code generation package is available for use with
PCs working in a Windows-based operating environment.
