2–8 Setting Up the Printer
Media Loading
The following procedures describe loading of the various media.
NOTE: The optional internal rewinder and rewind bracket are shown on all
media loading drawings.
Roll-Fed
To install roll-fed media, perform the following steps.
1. Open the media supply door.
2. Slide a roll of the chosen media onto the media hub assembly, as far as
possible toward the inside of the printer as shown in Figure 2–5.
3. Raise the printhead latch wing, and rotate it counterclockwise one
half-turn to unlock the printhead. Swing the printhead to the raised
position as shown in Figure 2–5 and
Figure 2–6 .
4. Route the media under the bouncer assembly and between the upper
and lower media guides, as shown in
Figure 2–7 .
5. Continue feeding the media under the printhead until the media exits the
printhead assembly.
