TRUNKED MODE OPERATION

Digital trunking provides fast communication

access at all times, even during busy hours. In this
mode the operator selects a communications system
and group and the audio communication or working
channel (WC) is allocated through digital signaling
with the site.

Receiving A Group Call

1. Turn on the radio by rotating the POWER ON-

OFF/VOLUME knob clockwise. A short alert
signal (if enabled through programming)
indicates the radio is ready to use.

2. GROUP CALL - When the radio receives a

group call, it unmutes on the assigned working

channel and comes on. Line one shows GR
followed by the logical ID number (if received) of
the unit sending the message, or the associated
name if the ID number is found in the individual
call list.

3. The LPE-200 stores the initiating radio ID's of

the last 10 group calls received on the selected
channel. To access this list press the

# key

twice.
