NICKEL CADMIUM (NiCd) BATTERY PACK
DISPOSAL

The product you have purchased
may contain a NiCd (Nickel
Cadmium) rechargeable,
recyclable battery. At the end of
its useful life under various state
and local laws it may be illegal to
dispose of this battery into the

municipal waste stream. Check with your local solid
waste officials for details concerning recycling
options or proper disposal in your area. Call Toll

procedures for returning rechargeable batteries in
your state.

NICKEL METAL HYDRIDE (NiMH) BATTERY
PACK DISPOSAL

There are no laws regulating the disposal of nickel
metal hydride rechargeable batteries. However, they
may be recycled. Call Toll Free 1-800-8-BATTERY
for information and/or procedures regarding the
recycling of nickel metal hydride rechargeable
batteries.

INSTALLING THE BATTERY PACK

1. Ensure the POWER ON-OFF/VOLUME knob is

in the OFF (detent) position.
