Cleaning Schedule

The recommended cleaning schedule is shown in

Table 10

. Specific cleaning procedures are

provided on the following pages.

Cleaning the Exterior

The exterior surfaces of the printer may be cleaned with a lint-free cloth. Do not use harsh or
abrasive cleaning agents or solvents. If necessary, a mild detergent solution or desktop cleaner
may be used sparingly.

* Use Zebra’s Preventative Maintenance kit, part number 47362, or a solution of
90% isopropyl alcohol and 10% deionized water.

† You may also use Zebra’s Save-a-Printhead cleaning film. This specially coated material
removes contamination buildup without damaging the printhead. Call your authorized Zebra
reseller or distributor for more information.

Caution • Use only the cleaning agents indicated. Zebra Technologies is not responsible
for any other fluids used on this printer.
