TEL Mode In TEL Mode, your machine is set for you to
manually answer any call. If you hear a fax
signal, you then press the Start button and hang
up the handset of the external phone to begin
receiving the fax. For this function, the LCD
display on the control panel shows TEL.
TEL/FAX Mode In TEL/FAX mode, the machine automatically
answers the call. If the machine detects a fax
signal, it will receive that fax. If a fax signal is
not detected, the machine will give another
ringing tone to tell you it is a phone call. For this
function, the LCD display on the control panel
shows TEL/FAX.
Xerox label This is the machine label found on the back of
your machine. It contains such items as the
Federal Communications Commission
Registration number, the Ringer Equivalence
Number and the machine’s serial number.
