the parameters under the Net Setup submenu (see sections 3.10.5.2,

3.10.5.3 and 3.10.5.4). To make the values dynamically assigned by a

network DHCP server, set IP Address Assignment to DHCP (see section

3.10.5.1).

The system name (also known as host name or computer name), can be set

using remote communications (either Ethernet or RS-232); it cannot be

edited using the front panel keypad.

All network parameters (even those assigned by a DHCP server) can be

viewed using the Net Settings submenu (see section 3.10.4).

4.4.1

Ethernet Connector

The Model 430 Programmer uses a standard RJ-45 jack for Ethernet

communications. The Ethernet jack pinout is fully documented in Table A-

8 on page 160 in the Appendix.

4.4.2

Termination Characters

All commands and queries are transmitted and received as ASCII values

and are case insensitive. The Model 430 Programmer always transmits

<CR><LF> (a carriage return followed by a linefeed) at the end of an

Ethernet transmission. The Model 430 can accept <CR>, <LF>,

<CR><LF>, or <LF><CR>, or a semicolon ( ; ) as termination characters

from an external computer.
