In the example illustrating weir control, two
linked measurements are shown. The gauge
difference is measured on each weir with one
VEGAMET 515V. Normally, two sensors
would be required for each VEGAMET. How-
ever, since the gauge value of the upstream
water is valid for both VEGAMETs, one sen-
sor is sufficient for the upstream water. The
input signal of sensor 1 (upstream water) is
transmitted via the DISBUS cable from one
VEGAMET (MET04) to the other VEGAMET.
The value of sensor 1 is therefore available to
both signal conditioning instruments.
