Securing a Fax Transmission
To secure a fax transmission, you need to follow the preceding section to first set
the SFax Hotkey (the Program button) to be “Secure Tx”. Before using this
function, please also make sure that the recipient’s fax machine supports the
“Secure Receiving” feature. Otherwise, the recipient is unable to receive your
fax.
To secure a fax transmission,
1.
Place the single-page document on the flatbed or multi-page document on
the auto document feeder.
2.
Make sure the SFax Hotkey as been specified as “Secure Tx” function.
3.
Press the Fax button on the control panel.
4.
Press the Program button and the LCD-display shows the following
information.

Enter the pin number for the secured transmission. For example, 123.

Press the Set button. The LCD-display shows the following information.
Secure Tx
Enter Dest.
7.
Enter the recipient’s fax number and then press the Start button to send
your fax. For example, 5678999.
