Faxing Your Scanned Document


Important!

Before faxing your document through the MFP, make sure that you have

installed a telephone line on the MFP. Refer to Chapter 2 on how to
connect a telephone line.

Basic Operation

Using the default settings

1.

Place your document(s) with text FACE UP in the ADF or FACE DOWN on

the glass.

2.

Press the Fax button on the control panel.

3.

Enter the fax number with the numeric keypad on the control panel.




4.

Press the Start button to send your document(s).

Note:

9 If you make a mistake during the process, press the Stop button on the

control panel to cancel the operation.

9 If you make a mistake while entering a number or name, press the left

arrow button to delete the last digit or character. Then enter the correct
number or character

9 When entering a phone number from the numeric keypad, include any

PSTN access number (number to access the public telephone line, usually a
9 or 0), area codes, and the telephone number.

9 If you need to enter the PSTN access number, be sure to press the Pause

button after entering the PSTN access number to make the access number
work. For example, enter an access code and then press the Pause
button before entering the telephone number. A "," appears on the display
to indicate when a pause is entered.

9 Up to 20 characters can be entered in the Fax Number field.
