Choosing Scan Method
Choice:
Flatbed: Select this setting if you need to scan a single page from the flatbed.
ADF—use this setting if you are using the automatic document feeder (ADF) to scan
documents at a time.
Selecting Proper Image Type
Black & White
Choose B&W if your original contains only B&W text,
pencil or ink sketch.
8-bit Gray
8-bit Gray images contain actual shades of gray.
24-bit Color
Choose 24-bit Color if you wish to scan a color image.
