Parameters
After clicking in the work area to create the ROI, the control panel displays the set of parameters that
enable control customisation.
Please note that different parameters are available in the STANDARD and EXPERT modes:
• Name : Name assigned to control in Inspection Explorer. Maximum length is 256 characters;
• Status : see "Result" further below;
• Match score :
o
Expected : You may specify to what degree (percent) detected contour must be similar to
reference contour in order to be considered valid (100% = perfect match, 0% … ). This value
may be set automatically by the system or you may set it manually using the slider;
o
Calculated : Provides a graphic display of the degree of similarity, in percent, between the
contour detected in the ROI and the reference contour.
• Binarization parameters :
Object type : You may specify the features of object subject to contour recognition.
Possible options are:
o
Bright Object : Object is lighter than the background;
o
Dark Object : Object is darker than the background.
• Threshold : Threshold on gray scale that determines whether a point is part of the object or not. It is
compared to the value detected on the acquired image: if this value is lower than the threshold, the
point is not considered part of the object; if the opposite is true, the point is considered part of the
object. An automatically calculated threshold value may be selected by choosing the appropriate
control;
• Delete : Deletes control from inspection.
Result
Graphically displayed by the Status indicator; shows control result:
o
: A contour similar to the reference contour was identified;
o
: No contours similar to the reference contour were identified;
