Click the Apply button to save the changes. The new values (previously in orange) are
shown in blue as the current values and there are no values displayed in orange.
To retain the original values, click Cancel instead of Apply.

NOTE: Users who wish to calculate the delay time for themselves should follow the full

procedure shown on page 94 in

“Setting Speaker Delay Settings using SIS

Commands.”

Setup with a Real Time Analyzer (RTA) calibration tool

1.

Choose an ideal central location on which all speaker output signals converge.

2.

Place the microphone from the RTA at ear level in the convergence location.

3.

Play the audio source. This can be an analog source, provided by the RTA.

4.

Use the Test Signal Output buttons in the

Testing & Output Trim Tab

(see page 36) to

select which speakers are tested and the order in which the speakers are tested.

5.

Use the RTA to measure the speaker distance (in ms) for each channel.

6.

In the SSP 7.1 Setup and Control Software Speaker Delay tab, select the
milliseconds (ms) button and enter the values for each speaker (in ms) into the boxes.
The up and down (

{

) arrows increase the distance in increments of 0.1 ms.

Repeat steps 4 to 6 until the speaker distance has been entered for all available
speakers.

NOTE: The maximum allowable distance for the furthest speaker is 100 ms.

8.

Click the Apply button to save the changes. The new values (previously in orange, see
figure 21) are shown in blue as the current values and there are no values displayed in
orange (see figure 22).
To retain the original values, click Cancel instead of Apply.
