SECTION 11

– SAVING/RECALLING RESULTS USING A USB MEMORY STICK

There is a USB port on the side of the instrument for data storage.

Please note that in the Photometrics measurement mode

the readout is live; therefore results can’t be

saved to the internal memory of the instrument or to USB memory stick. In the Quantitation
measurement mode it is possible to save the data used to create the calibration curve and to save
results to USB memory stick. In the Spectrum, Kinetics, Multi-wavelength and DNA/Protein
measurement modes it is possible to save results to USB memory stick.

To open results from the USB memory stick on the instrument insert the USB memory stick when the
instrument is in the home screen and enter the required measurement mode. Press the OPEN button
and scroll through the saved file names to the required result. Press Enter and the result will open on
the screen.

To open results from the USB memory stick in the PC software (Prism) select the corresponding
measurement mode in the PC software. From the File drop down menu select Open, select the
location of the USB stick memory stick and select the required result.

The instrument only recognises a USB
memory stick being inserted or removed
when it is operating in the home screen. A
USB icon appears at the top of the home
screen (circled in red).

Insert the USB memory stick when the
instrument is in the home screen and enter
the required measurement mode. Perform the
measurement or measure the standards
(Quantitation mode) and press the SAVE
button. Enter the file name required using
multiple presses of the numeric keys to select
the required letter. Press Enter to confirm the
file name and the result is saved to the USB
memory stick.
