Loading/unloading a disc

1

Press the POWER switch to turn the power ON.

÷ The function indicator blinks green.

÷ The display panel is illuminated.

Press the OPEN/CLOSE

0 button to open the

disc tray.

“OPEN” is displayed and the tray comes out.
÷ After recording or skip information recording, it takes a few

seconds before the disc tray can open because the recording
information is being written on the disc. “OPEN” blinks
during this period.

Place a disc in the disc tray

÷ Place the disc in the center of the tray with the label side up.

÷ When using an 8 cm (3 inch) disc make sure the disk is

located in the groove in the middle of the CD tray.

÷ Ensure only one disc is loaded at a time

÷ The disc must be loaded label side up. ( Please note this

differs from the CDR-800 where the disc is loaded with the
label side down.)

Press the OPEN/CLOSE

0 button to close the

disc tray.

“CLOSE” is displayed and the tray is closed.

The disc tray can also be closed by
÷ pressing the 3 button.

÷ pushing the disc tray lightly.

÷ When a disc is loaded, the disc type is identified and the

information on the disc is read. (During this time, “CD?”,
“CD-R?” and “CD-RW?” are displayed alternately.)

An attempt is made to start playback without loading a
disc:
