, after a failure occurs in primary site A, the horctakeover

command is used to reconfigure the former XP Continuous Access Synchronous secondary site as
the primary site B. In this situation, once the delta resync operation is performed, the XP Continuous
Access pair for the delta resync operation is synchronized and usable, as illustrated in

The delta resync operation steps include first using journal copy to copy the journal data in the
primary site B to the XP Continuous Access Journal secondary site. Only the journal data that is
not yet restored to the secondary data volume in the XP Continuous Access Journal secondary site
is copied in chronological order. When journal copy completes, journal restore takes place in the
XP Continuous Access Journal secondary site.
