This setting does not take effect on master journal groups. However, if the RAID Manager
horctakeover

command is used to change a master journal group into a restore journal

group, this setting will take effect on the journal group. If you set Use, this setting takes effect
on the journal volumes of RAID 5 or RAID 6 that are in the journal group. For external volumes,
non-RAID 5 journal volumes, and non-RAID 6 journal volumes, Use works the same as Not
Use.

Speed of Line: Specify the line speed (in Mb/s) of data transfer.

You can specify one of the following: 256, 100, or 10.

This setting does not take effect on master journal groups. However, if the RAID Manager
horctakeover

command is used to change a master journal group into a restore journal

group, this setting takes effect on the journal group.

Delta resync Failure: Specify the processing that takes place when the delta resync operation
cannot be performed.

Entire: Whole data in the primary data volume is copied to the secondary data volume
when the delta resync operation cannot be performed. The default is Entire.

None: No processing takes place when the delta resync operation cannot be performed.
Therefore, the secondary data volume is not updated.

This option cannot be specified in the secondary site.

If the journal group is created with the DKCMAIN microcode whose version is later than
50-07-6X-XX/XX, the default is None.

Set: Applies the settings in the window to the Journal Operation window (

“Journal Operation

Window” (page 116)

).

Cancel: Cancels the settings and closes the window.

Deleting a Journal Group

To delete a journal group from the primary storage system, log in to the primary storage system,
and then perform the following operation.

To delete a journal group from the secondary storage system, log in to the secondary storage
system, and then perform the following operation.

You cannot delete master journal groups, restore journal groups, or journal groups whose attribute
is master/restore. You can only delete journal groups whose attribute is Initial.

Ensure that the Remote Web Console main window is in Modify mode.

Ensure that the Journal Operation window is open (see

“Journal Operation Window”

(page 116)

).

3.

Do one of the following:

In the upper-right list, right-click a journal group whose attribute is Initial.

In the tree, select and right-click a journal group in initial status.

4.

Select JNL Groups and Delete JNL.
