You can check the LU by using the format command. The following figure

shows an example of the format command. The shaded portion

represents an LU not managed by HDLM.

Delete the device ID information for devices that do not exist.
Execute the following command:

# /usr/cluster/bin/scdidadm -C

Allocate the device ID.
Execute the following command:

# /usr/cluster/bin/scdidadm -r

Note

The following message might be output when the scdidadm -r

command is executed:

Unable to open '/dev/rdsk/c5t50060E80033A9902d2s2'

This message is output when a logical device file for a non-HDLM-

managed device exists. Delete the unnecessary logical device file. For

details, refer to the Sun Cluster documentation.

Notify the node of the most recent device ID information.
Execute the following command:

# /usr/cluster/bin/scdidadm -ui

Update the Sun Cluster global device namespace.
Execute the following command:

# /usr/cluster/bin/scgdevs
