Understanding RAID-5 Set Creation in a NetWare
Environment

If you created a RAID-5 set on a NetWare server, you must run the

list devices

command on the NetWare console and then create

the necessary NetWare disk partitions and volumes.

Understanding RAID-5 Set Creation in a UNIX Environment

On UNIX systems, the message displayed after you execute the

container create raid5

command includes the root special

file associated with the newly created RAID-5 set.

Use the

container list

command to display the root special file

associated with RAID-5 set. See Displaying A Root Special File (UNIX
Only)
