Command Parameter Value Description
DDNAME, SYSNAME, or
UNITADDRESS
DDNAME = dname =
JCL statement identifying
the volume.
SYSNAME = sysxxx =
SYSNAME in the ASSGN
system control statement.
UNITADDRESS = ccuu =
device number.
You should specify only
one parameter of the
three parameters. The
italic part on the left
means that it is the
arbitrary name. For
example, dname means
the arbitrary unique name
of the JCL statement which
identifies the volume.
PRI
Primary volume (S-VOL):
SSID, serial number,
and channel connection
address.
You can set an additional
parameter corresponding
to each request instead
of a serial number.
1. For an Add and
Split request (see
section “ Adding
and Splitting Pairs
” on page 82
the parameter
is MSF00. This
parameter is valid
for MODE(COPY)
only.
2. For a Quick
Resync request,
the parameter
is MRF00. This
parameter is valid
for MODE(RESYNC)
only.
3. For a Quick
Restore request,
the parameter is
MRQ00. This
parameter is valid
for MODE(RESYNC)
only.
4. For a Reverse
Copy request,
the parameter
is MRR00. This
parameter is valid
for MODE (RESYNC)
only.
If you set a parameter
other than the parameters
on the left, the command
is rejected.
SEC
Secondary volume
(T-VOL): SSID, serial
number, and channel
connection address.
COPY
NOCOPY
Whether you specify
COPY or NOCOPY for
the MODE parameter for
the CESTPAIR command,
the storage system
recognizes it as COPY
mode. As a result,
initial full-volume copy is
performed.
MODE
RESYNC
Re-establish a split or
suspended volume pair.
Copy speed is slow,
except when the disk
controller emulation type
