dialog box, select one or more reserved simplex volumes in the Volume List on the Siz main window,

right-click the mouse to display the pop-up menu, and then click the Change Reserve command.

The Reset Reserve Attribute dialog box displays the reserved volume(s) that you selected on the Siz

main window:

The OK button resets the reserve attribute of the Siz S-VOL(s) and sets the status of the volume(s)

back to simplex.

NOTE:

The setting(s) are displayed in the Preset List on the Siz main window. To apply the settings to the

HP StorageWorks XP12000 storage system or XP10000 storage system, click the Apply button on

the Siz main window.

The Cancel button closes the Reset Reserve Attribute dialog box without resetting the reserve

attribute

To unreserve one or more volumes (by resetting the reserve attribute):

1.

Make sure that the volumes you want to unreserve are no longer assigned to Siz pairs as T-VOLs.

2.

Go to the Siz main window, and select the CU image or LDEV in the Tree.

3.

Display reserved simplex volumes in the Volume List (e.g., to display reserved simplex volumes,

click the Reserved check box on the Display Filter dialog box).

4.

Select the desired volume(s), right-click the mouse to display the pop-up menu, and then click the

Change Reserve command. The Reset Reserve Attribute dialog box opens.

NOTE:

If the Change Reserve command is not enabled, you selected paired volumes. Select only reserved

and unpaired volumes.

5.

On the Reset Reserve Attribute dialog box, select the volume(s) you want to unreserve, and then

click the OK button. The setting are reflected in the Preset List on the Siz main window.

6.

On the Siz main window, click the Apply button.

7.

Verify that the settings are reflected in the HP StorageWorks XP12000 storage system or

XP10000 storage system.
